About the Arc

The Arc of Lancaster County was formed in 1962 by a group of parents who wanted to change how society accepted their family members with intellectual disabilities.  We continue their work by striving every day to achieve our mission:
 

 

"The Arc of Lancaster County advocates for people of all ages with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families in reaching their fullest potential as interdependent community members."


 

The Arc of Lancaster provides the following free supports and services:

We work together to ensure that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities have the same rights and privileges as anyone else in Lancaster PA.
