The Arc’s Second Annual Family Picnic

Despite the dreary forecast, there was a lot of good food and fun at The Arc's Annual Family & Friends Picnic in Long's Park, Saturday, September 12, 2009.  The smiling faces and hardy laughter were proof of undeniable excitement on a rainy day.  Over 100 people enjoyed hambergers, hotdogs and a large array of side dishes before participating in various games.

 

   

 

BINGO is always a big hit along with a beanbag and ring toss, bowling and golf.  Game prizes included t-shirts, stuffed animals and dolls, art supplies, snack packs , and other fun items all donated to The Arc by the community.

  

   

 

Special thanks to Darrenkamp's at Willow Valley, Weis Markets Markets in Lititz and Oregon Dairy for their generous donations.  In addition, The Arc appreciates the 8 Manheim Township teachers who volunteered their time and talents as part of the United Way Day of Caring event.

 

 

 

 

Chow Down for The Arc! 

 

Wed., August 12 was our first Chow Down event on the patio of

                          Roseville Tavern & Restaurant. 

While the weather didn't cooperate, personnel from Lancaster City Fire Department and Eden Volunteer Fire Company were our servers and donated their tips to The Arc.  They did a great job!  Thanks to Jenn Bender, Tom Bender, Helen Trimble, and Brooks Trimble for supporting The Arc!

Wed., September 23 Arc Community Night at The Granite Run Isaac's was great fun and M'm, Mm Good.  Thanks to Isaac's and everyone who supported The Arc by dining in or picking up take out for their evening meal.

Wed., October 21 Arc Night at Friendly's 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Friendly's at Centerville Shopping Center

Friendly's will donate 10% of their evening's total income.

Sixth Annual Arc Walk

was held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 and it was a blast!  Lots of walkers! Lots of freebies in the goodie bags!  Great event t-shirts and Arc frisbees!  Free food and drink!  Great entertainment - dancing with DJ Mike D, facepainting by Elvira, balloon creations by The Balunguy, and juggling by Jason!  See you next year...tentative date is April 17 at Clipper Magazine Stadium!  We're adding TEAMS in 2010.  Join us!
